As Seen on Paramount: Bar Rescue – Rob Ben’s (Season 7 Episode 9)April 26, 2020

Rob Ben’s in Oakland, California is owned by NFL star Marshawn Lynch. As a tribute to his past childhood friend he relies on friends and family to keep the bar functioning. With the help of Jon, Marshawn wants this bar to go from losing a little under $200,000 dollars a year to earning money and paying back the tribute to his friend. The bar is lacking systems and procedures to be operating to its highest potential. Jon brings his team in to restyle the menu to help increase efficiency and decrease waste as well as create signature cocktails that will keep people coming back.

An attitude change and reality check were all it took for the staff to understand this bar should not be a money pit but rather a place for people to enjoy as well as bring in money. Rob Ben’s was given a model IDT0500 Manitowoc Ice machine, this will assist in crafting delicious cocktails from their new cocktail menu as well as keep up with the large crowds this business brings in. In the words of Jon Taffer, “character is an important part of any community and this bar and these guys have character.”
